Kensington businesses can now take advantage of convenient, hyper-local, low emission, genuinely environmentally sustainable waste management developed by community volunteers, while also supporting the reliable processing and production of a valuable resource to support community gardening and greening opportunities. These services are operated as a not-for-profit fundraising initiative by Kensington Town Hall Compost Incorporated, to support the ongoing operation of the Kensington Community-powered Compost Network.

We collect commercial food and cafe waste and transport it to the most suitable local composting sites, using our custom-built compost cargobike, acquired with support from Sustainability Victoria Councils Fund and the City of Melbourne Kensington Circular Economy Precinct Pilot Project.
